Challenge

Create a safe and educational online space where kids from 7-12 years of age can share their picking experiences with their peers while learning about the history of their families and communities through the items they collect.

After using social media to get input from parents and teachers,  Simplified Solutions used the Social Engine platform to created a digital playground for young pickers at www.KidsPickers.com.  The moderated online social community gives kids the ultimate “show and tell” experience and explore the world of picking through interactive games, share photos of their treasured finds, and learn picking tips from  Mike Wolfe himself. The journey is filled with learning moments about history, recycling and exploring their local communities all in a safe environment.

Results

Within a five month window of the launch, over 1,200 kids had a password-protected profile with 1,200,000 page views.  KidPickers.com is receiving positive reviews from parents and teachers alike.

American Pickers – Online Marketing Turns Rust Into Gold for TV Star Mike Wolfe

Background

Mike Wolfe is the star of The History Channel’s highest rated show of all time — American Pickers. Since he was waist-high, Mike has been picking through junk looking for treasure, and since becoming a TV personality Mike has earned the well deserved reputation as one of American’s best foragers.

Challenge

Advance Mike’s new found fame and build his Antique Archaeology brand and business.

Solution

John Marshall Law School – A Marketing Plan for Distance Education

Background

John Marshall Law School, a nationally ranked law school located in downtown Chicago,  joined the online education boom by offering three advanced law courses via the web.

Challenge

Create awareness and increase enrollment for the law school’s online courses.

Solution

SimplifiedSolutions created a comprehensive marketing plan to help recruit lawyers and non-attorney professional for the new Distance Education program.  The integrated marketing campaign relied on a mix of both traditional and online marketing tactics.  The program included Linked-in and CareerBuilder.com display advertising, plus banner ads on legal blogs and websites. Bridgeview Bank operates over 15 full-service banking facilities around the region and is actively involved in the communities they serve.

Challenge

To leverage a large database of 10,000 existing customers to promote new products, capture leads and build loyal relationships.

Solution

SimplifiedSolutions created a measurable email marketing program which used email names to communicate informative community news, financial advice, and promote offers and new services. Using best practices, the old database was cleaned up, verified for opt-in, and segmented by location, demographics and interests. In order to maximize click through rates, new templates were designed and implemented. Metrics were used to identify leads by link categories to aid in local sales efforts.

Results

The email marketing campaign grew the list by 17%, leveraging old names and adding new ones. The email open rate is well above industry standards, ringing in at an impressive 25%. Additionally, 25% of all clicks were linked to specific offers, allowing Bridgeway Bank to increase their new customer offers.
