John Marshall Law School – A Marketing Plan for Distance Education

Background

John Marshall Law School, a nationally ranked law school located in downtown Chicago,  joined the online education boom by offering three advanced law courses via the web.

Challenge

Create awareness and increase enrollment for the law school’s online courses.

Solution

SimplifiedSolutions created a comprehensive marketing plan to help recruit lawyers and non-attorney professional for the new Distance Education program.  The integrated marketing campaign relied on a mix of both traditional and online marketing tactics.  The program included Linked-in and CareerBuilder.com display advertising, plus banner ads on legal blogs and websites. Search engine marketing featured Google text and content PPC.  Print advertising, email marketing, videos, social media and PR rounded off the comprehensive approach.

Results:

Website traffic increased 300%. Conversions went up by 150%. The website in on the first page in search engines for all major keywords.

Smart Resources – Driving Leads with Search Engine Marketing

Smart Resources is one of the most respected independent staffing firms in Chicago. They specialize in permanent and temporary administrative placement. The firm launched a new accounting division in 2009.

Challenge

To protect the current client base and maintain a pool of highly qualified candidates in the face of a highly competitive environment as well as. drive more website traffic and leads.

Solution

SimplifiedSolutions designed a Google-friendly online marketing roadmap to create a higher web presence and lead development. The Smart Resources website was redesigned with effective landing pages and optimized for SEO. A pay-per-click advertising (PPC) search, online PR program, online surveys, and a segmented email marketing campaign with added value content and offers went live, as did highly interactive social media platforms on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Yelp.

Results

Smart Resources ranks in the top five for all their key search terms. Traffic to their website increased by 177%. Conversion rates increased by 221%, and the PPC campaign landed two new accounts during its two-month run. The targeted email campaigns boast an open rate of over 40% among customers and candidates. Ten East Delaware is one of the premier new property developments in Chicago’s Gold Coast. We designed a Google Adwords campaign to optimize web traffic during the high volume spring selling season. The sponsored text ads average 600 new visits, or three times the normal traffic, and substantially increase calls to the sales center.

Sheila Kelly’s S Factor is the original and very popular pole dancing and striptease workout that has been featured on Oprah, The Martha Stewart Show, and more.

Challenge

To design a user-friendly website that is easy for students to use when signing up for or changing classes. Additionally, to launch a student center with the technology in place to keep client information completely secure, while still saving students’ payment profiles.

S Factor Website

Solution

SimplifiedSolutions created a customized ASP.Net based web application that included modules for signing up for class, updating profile information, integrating with the current back-end system so class waiting lists, payment transactions, referral program and class management.

Results

Clients have no idea they are using a sophisticated piece of technology to navigate the S Factor student center. Their registration and enrollment experience is as easy as filling out a form, which leaves S Factor with a very satisfied client base and a streamlined database of new clients.
